Teaching art combines two of my favorite things and that is, working with children and working in the arts. Having taught art in Bedford County Elementary Schools for seven years now, I still take great delight in introducing children to the visual arts. It is the a great pleasure to meet so many of my students as kindergarteners and then watch them develop as artists over the next six years. Hopefully they will continue their involvement in the visual arts as they grow into adults.
