Guidance-Ms. Waldmann

Hello! I am Ms. Waldmann the Otter River Elementary School Guidance Counselor.  Throughout the year I get to go into the classrooms and engage your students in lessons that involve everything from making good choices to how to stand up to bullies.  Guidance lessons take place in the homebase classrooms once every other week.  I am also available to for individual counseling with your children.

This year is going to be a great one for Otter River I just know it!

My time is shared with Forest Middle School.  Below is my weekly schedule.

Mondays and Tuesday: Forest Middle for the entirety of the day
Wednesday: 8:30-11:00 Forest Middle School
                     11:30- 3:00  Otter River Elementary
Thursday and Fridays: Otter River Elementary for the entirety of the day.

Welcome back everyone!  2018 is here and I can't believe it.  I hope everyone had a wonderful Winter Break.  I cannot wait to see all of my students again and get started on the second half of this school year. It is going to be busy but full of fun.  In our Guidance Lessons we will discuss the topics of Bullying, Friendship, and many more.

For my Grade 2 students and family the Standford 10/OLSAT assessments will be given the week of February 5.  A letter will be coming home in the Monday folders soon.   These tests are given to all students in Grade 2 to assess qualification of entry into the Talented and Gifted Program.  These are tests designed to see what the students know and will not impact their grades in the classroom.

Spring SOL testing will begin in April after we return from Spring Break. More info on that to come.
